As a novice collector of vintage costume jewelry, I must admit that this is definitely the find of a lifetime. Marked "K.J.L.", which dates it to 1960s. The whole snake's body consists of rows and rows of individually-prong-set clear crystal rhinestones that really sparkle! Although missing a few rhinestones, it is in rather remarkable vintage condition, with almost no wear to the head and tail. Isn't it fabulous? I have never seen pieces from this snake collection go for sale before (Kenneth Jay Lane had so many serpent themes!) and the only other piece from this collection that I have seen online is a bracelet that was curated for "Fabulous Fakes: The Jewelry of Kenneth Jay Lane" display at The Norton Museum of Art in 2011! Here is the link to that beautiful bracelet: http://www.curatedobject.us/.a/6a00e54f9f8f8c88340147e1449636970b-pi
