Another piece of jewelry found at a yard sale, bought for fifty cents.
Unsigned, no marks at all to indicate designer or age.
I don't know much about paste jewelry - somebody told me it was pave but I don't think so. I've seen a few online but there is variance in the dates and some claim the paste jewelry is old, but then I see some from the 1950-60's. This one is beautiful with square, round and teardrop shaped stones and is about two inches wide. Very pretty. No stones are missing at all. I haven't cleaned it and it's a little dirty, but still sparkles. I see some black flecks behind a couple of the stones which probably indicate some wear or degrading and a couple of the stones look slightly yellow when you hold the pin at a certain angle and look closely, but other than that, very solid piece.
History and approximately value would be appreciated.
