Here's something a bit different, a pre-1900 wood & brass camera with an ebonized wooden interior. Ebonized cameras have a cool 'stealthy' look, are harder to find than their naturally finished counterparts and visually striking with gleaming hardware set against a dark background.
This 1892 Blair No.2 Folding Hawk-eye is a fine example of an ebonized camera with lacquered brass fittings and shutter. However after over 100 years, the body leather has chemically faded to a dark brown from its original black color. In 1893, it was advertised for $60 which was quite expensive at the time.
