Mermaid soap or trinket dish. Unsure of her origins. As you can see, her features aren't very well defined but she is proudly on display in my bathroom. :)

I know Bradley and Hubbard made bookends. Maybe they made soap dishes? Worth checking out. Love it
Thanks cindyjune, I will have a look :)
I just had a *really* close look and for the first time, I have noticed that there is a marking on it which is very, very worn. You may be able to see this in the second photo, on the bottom middle of dish. It appears to start with Te.... can anyone help? Thanks :)
Try doing a light pencil rubbing on it and maybe you can see more.
I've been trying but unfortunately it's not showing up well enough. I may need to hunt for my magnifying glass.
item appears to be sand cast -- i think what you are seeing is the dimple in the mold -- hope i'm wrong and it is initials -- lovely piece either way
You may be right epson233, but it very distinctly looks like letters. Not sure if I'll ever know either way lol. You say it appears sand cast... do you know what era it may be from? Thanks :)
Thanks for the like Lucky1 :)
