1873 Ingham County, Michigan Map

First, Sorry about the bad pictures. It's in a frame and difficult to photograph.
This is from an 1873 atlas of Michigan. The back of the map is Livingston County. Here is a full digital copy of the atlas:

It's beautifully, hand colored and in not too bad of condition.

Ingham County is named to honor US Secretary of the Treasury, Samuel D. Ingham, under president Jackson. Ingham County was founded in 1829, prior to Michigan's statehood, in 1837.
I love the history of Michigan, Andrew Jackson is the president who signed the bill to make Michigan the 26th state in 1837. Michigan has 10 "Cabinet Counties," named for cabinet members under Andrew Jackson. Barry, Berrien, Branch, Calhoun, Cass, Eaton, Ingham, Jackson, Livingston, and Van Buren. We also have a city, Jackson, named for president Andrew Jackson. We have such a colorful history!
