Ray here is another one I have from the same person as the round flat Coca Cola bottle sign. This is also flat, not embossed. Measures 12x36.

I belive both of them are repros because, I remember they stopped using "trade mark registered" in the the tail by the early 30's. Then they started using "trade mark Reg in U.s pat off" then by the 40's they stopped putting it in the script and just on the bottom and used that all the way unto the 6o's and started using "trade mark (R) on the bottom, and this style of button was used in the early 50's to the late 50's. So I am certain the first signs are reproductions. This one, Ray is pretty confident that this sign is a repro too. Then again, I don't have petretti's 12th on me, this info is from prior knowledge.

So save some time and read this, there all repros. Can I ask how much you paid?
    3. SSmoothie, 14 years ago
Thanks Ray, would you say 60s-70s repo?
    4. SSmoothie, 14 years ago
I think there early repos, I have the Petretti's 12th and there is one like it with the same dimensions on page 202, it is dated 1936 with "trade mark registered" but its not the same, lines are different, bottle is smaller. Didn't pay a lot, they will look nice in my garage and I won't have to worry about them rusting. Not sure what there worth.

Ray, I posted before your 2000s repo comment popped up. And that is what I meant in my statement that it wasn't close. So I was just guessing on what the seller told me of them having them for 30 plus years, I know that I can believe everyone on how long they had something. Thanks for you input I appreciate it.

On the red coca-cola button signs, what years was the "Trademark REG"used? I am trying to date a recent 16" button I purchused. Thanks

Hey Nate, I recently purchased a button marked "TRADE MARK REG", which was estimated by one of the good experts here to be 50's. You can follow my name tag to my postings and see for yourself. Best Regards, Dave

Sorry, SSmoothie -- This sign is unfortunately a reproduction of fairly recent vintage. The trademark location discussed above only identifies the date range on authentic items.
