This lovely vase was a huge punt, it had one shocking photo but it was cheap enough to take the chance.
It was on my doorstep when I arrived home, this morning and I couldn't wait to open it, and I have to say I was more than pleased with it, I have to also say ..today.. I am now! in love with this vase, I know 'fickle'.
Standing nearly 17cm or 6. 1/2 inches tall... and quite wide.... 8cm or 3.1/2 in diameter at the widest point
It is the most gorgeous deep marbled blood red, with tons of lovely wear on the base telling me it has lots of age so am guessing 1900 - 1920.
Many thanks for looking.
Love it! Love it! Love it!!!!!:)
When I first saw it my immediate feeling was Rindskopf and was really really! hoping it was.. it was the shape to me! that made me think so, but I just couldn't find anything like this particular vase. The closest in the oxblood? marbled.. was Ruckl although not in this shape! I knew and really hoped that I would be corrected. and be told it was a Rindskopf...:-)..there is something about Rindskopf glass that I love just.. that little bit more!... so thanks very much!
Hi! Slave..thanks for the love also vetraio50 and czechmanczechman...:-)
Many thanks ks85 for your thoughts and lovely comment...:-)
Thank you Alfredo for your thought appreciated!.. I am really hoping it is a Rindskopf... is yours actually the same shape.. I would love to see it....:-)
Obscurities your opinion is always valued and my first thoughts was that it was a Rindskopf....I also thought closer to 1900 than later. I just am always a bit worried about putting down in black and white what I think, most of the time I am wrong...lol!
Justanovice...thank you for your lovely comment!...:-)
