I've now got home the vase I found on sale online during the Christmas-New Year holidays. There is a similar one in red, in a post here on "Show & Tell", and that one is marked with a label from Aseda glassworks. This one has a shorter length, but Aseda should have made the model in smaller sizes. I have seen a similar model from Sea glassworks outside Kosta, so it could also be those who produced the vase. There may be additional glassworks wich made similar models? I am grateful if someone can solve the mystery for me.

The vase looks to me like it's from the 1960s. It lacks sticker and has no signature. It's made with blue underlay and clear glass laid over. The shape is slightly oval (I do not know if the Red Aseda-vase was also slightly oval?). It is not only a foundry work, it seems to be blown in a form because there is no pontil mark or polishing in the bottom. The top has instead been blasted/polished to finally get the edges softened with gas flame. Then it looks as if the vase is completely finished in the foundry, without post processing. A method I know was introduced in the 1930s-40s by (among others) Strombergshyttan.

    Height: 15,5 cm
    Width: 5,5/4,8 cm, top - 2,8/3,1 cm)
