I picked this 6.5” plate up at a garage sale last weekend. I don’t know anything about Wedgwood but when picked this plate up and saw the incredible detail and felt it's quality I knew it was worth at least twice the seven dollars I paid for it, perhaps a bit more.
I have found half dozen light blue cupids & cherubs Jasperware Wedgwood plates selling on ebay for $15 to $150 dollars. I have also seen dozen or so pictures of these plates on various websites “BUT” there is a big difference between my plate and all the other plates that I’ve seen online.
The “Garland Star” pattern is different on my plate. (compare the pictures) All the other plates I’ve seen have a 6 point Garland Star pattern with a little garland strip coming down from each point in the star pattern – my plate has a 5 star pattern and doesn’t have that extra stripe of garland.
Can anyone tell me if this dish is valuable and if so where I could find a Wedgwood expert to appraise it’s value?
Thank you ,
Richard
