Hello! I am wondering if anyone knows anything about this lamp. It belonged to my grandparents and I believe my grandfather acquired it in Japan in the 50s. Any info would be appreciated. Thank you!

Her name is Kuan Yin and she is depicted holding many symbols of Good Luck, prosperity etc.. She is made of "Blanc de Chine" pottery which translates to "white of China". She looks very well made with a very nice base. She probably dates to the time your father aquired her IMHO. RER (LOUMANAL)

In Tibet Kuan Yin is known as Chenrezig and is thought to be reincarnated in H. H. the Dalai Lama.
