Good Afternoon Fellow Collectors, I have always loved and collected books, and I typically choose various types with no actual system or plans. Usually a book will catch my eye and I will have to have it. I recently found this "Satchel Guide To Europe" at a flea market for a dollar and could not pass it up. The binding to the cover has come loose slightly, but the book itself is in great condition. There are several pull out folding maps that are in good condition with no tears, and all the pages are still attached to the binding. This edition was published in 1925, and it is the 45th annual edition. It looks like it was for sale at one time in Paris, France. It also looks as if it has been on many travels over the years. Something else I found that was neat were notes written on certain pages of where the traveler had been and things they had seen related to the guide. I assume that this book was designed for traveling across Europe solo,or possibly with a small group. There are also several pages dedicated to travel companies and ship lines. I am fascinated by the thought of the journeys and places this book has been over the years. It looks well traveled! Thanks for looking, and I hope everyone has a great afternoon. Thrifty
