Loetz ophir Is a cased glass with a layer of metalic dust encased into the glass. To me the base was neither opache or transparent but somewhere in between but the outer casing is usually clear or lightly tinted. They are earlier in production and many designers have used this technique for their pieces. I'm sure there are expert opinions here...

I changed out the last one but #2 is solid. the color is blue it was just at auction for Kirschner (rare blue ophir)

These Ophir are really stunning! Thanks for sharing these new pieces with us!

I am not sure these all are ophir. the book says silvery granules were strewn on a ruby-red interior casing that looked brown, less frequently on a blue or green inner casing, and covered with amber colored glass giving the impression of glass interspresed with golddust.

which doesn't seem to fit all of the above pictures. I could see an argument for maybe 1 and 3 being actual ophir because they look a little diffused but 2 and 4 I am pretty sure are something else.

ah picture 4 has been changed since I made that comment. 4 now looks convincing.
