I love this little two armed bronze lamp. I have no idea of the maker. I purchased it a thousand years ago at a flea market for more than I could really afford and have never been sorry. It was for sale when I had just left work and started my little business. Fortunately, no one wanted to buy it for the price I had on it. Then it was fitted with two gold Aurene Steuben shades in a tulip shape. I was asking a huge price, so I thought back then of 350 dollars. :O) Still thank goodness no one noticed and it followed me home. After a few tries at the shows I was starting to make enough money that I just pinched it out of stock and it has lived with me ever since. I have had all sorts of different shades on it over the years. Every thing from little Rubina Verde shades to beaded floral form ones. Even a pair of Mother of Pearl at one point. But now with the addition of this little pair of Quezal shades I think it is almost perfect. I will rewire it with that lovely rayon wire and then I will be satisfied.
This one will never leave. It sits at the moment on a little demi lune table in a corner of the living room. The lamp is 18 inches tall and with this it's final pair of shades, now 18 inches from the outside edge of one shade to the other.
I hope you enjoy. The shades are the typical 2 & 1/4 fitter but just 3 & 3/4 inches tall. Which is what made them such a find for me.
Sincerely,
Lisa
She is a beauty !!! Also Love the pup !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
FANTABULOUS!!!...:-)
I love this kind of Lamp .
Very nice lamp, really like the colors on the shades.
Beautiful...the shades are awesome
Thou shalt not covet......darn it anyway. I can't help it. Love it!!!! Gorgeous!
Beautiful lamp! Would you take a look at my ceiling light? I am trying to find out *anything* about it :)
Thank you Phil, I think so too. They really do look right. They are quite small really and that is the key, I think. Of course it doesn't hurt that the colour of the Quezal shades is so good. I am sure I do not have another pair that surpass the iridescence shown on these.
Thank you too to all of you who were kind enough to come and look at my lamp. I am so pleased that so many of you love it too. Please excuse my tardiness in getting back to say thank you. I hope you know it isn't that I do not appreciate it. I so do.
Sincerely,
Lisa
Thank you, Nutsabotas. I think that I finally have it too. ;o) I have used many shades on this lamp over the years but these really do seem to be the ones. I am glad to hear that you think so too.
Sincerely,
Lisa
