I picked these up at a thrift store down the street for next to nothing! My wife wants to use it for when we grill up whole fish, but I think it may be valuable. I know some vaseline glass can be rare and collectible. I do not have a blacklight to test these out to see if it is actually real vaseline glass, so I was hoping maybe someone may recognize the patterns, or the pieces? They look like they are real from other pictures I've seen on the web.....
The fish scales on the platter are actually raised up a bit to feel like scales. There are no chips, cracks, or damage that I could find.
Big fish platter is 13 1/2" X 10" X 1 1/2" tall
The little fish are 3" X 3" X 1" tall
Hi Quinn, you can buy a black light bulb at any Home Depot type place and put it in any lamp to test it. They run about two ish bucks.
I keep looking at your fish and toggling between new and old. And by the size I wonder if this was a fancy dinner plate with a small plate for bones?
Hopefully one of the glass gurus will weigh in.
I hope you eat smoked salmon off that at least once in your life.
