Uranium green decanter, probably 1860s, as this colour was popular then and the cutting has a gothic look to it. They call it uranium green as they use mineral uranium to make this colour. Panel cut neck and shoulders, printies to the body.
Oh, this is fabulous!!!
"Printies" is an interesting term; related to "punties".
A ground pontil is a 'punty' and a round ground decor element is a "prunty"?
Lovely decanter, LD.
How tall is it?
It is just just over 12 inches tall.
A printy is: a decorative pattern on cut glass, consisting of a shallow concavity, circular or oval, made with a slightly convex cutting wheel. Punty is usually applied to polished pontils, to my knowledge. A prunt is an applied decorative blob of glass, but I haven't heard of prunty. It's all glass geek stuff. LOL.
