I Think this might be a trial piece.
The two tags I can read on the rim are "pain" and "ver".
I think they refer to the lustre glazes that are used on the exterior.
Paon is peacock in French. Ver is short for green vert in French.
      Perhaps it is French?
But I have seen marks like one on the bottom on Bohemian pieces as well.
      Check out Ginni's:
      http://www.collectorscircle.com/bohemian/porcelain/marks_table1.html

It looks like a BC on that pad above the numbers.
There are people her who will know, I'm sure!

Looking at the shape of the mark, its unusual. I think it may be Edouard Gilles, a Frenchman who had his initials in a circle with a number below. He used an impressed mark which was shaped like a hot air balloon. The mark on yours is very similar and he did art nouveau pieces. I would look into his name. Good luck!

PS. The numbers underneath were either 2 or 3 digit. I think yours is a three, but isn't as impressed as some so it is hard to see in the picture, but definitely could be EG above

Your welcome. I agree that it was a trial piece and the writing is the glaze numbers. Did you get a chance to google Gilles name? there's a group of photos, on of which shows his mark.

Maryh1956 yes i did indeed googled his name and i did see the potters mark. It looks identical to mine and then i came across another vase with 3Dimensional Details with 3#'s just like mine but the #'s on mine arent legible enough to read nor are the potters initials but the shape i own and the one with these flowers applied are the same and the pottery mark on the bottom looks identical.. as i looked futher i saw a clock one made just like my other show/tell item that was made by him also..im elated to find out within 24hrs that both pieces may have been produced by him..I feel the clock is much older and i have it listed in both catagories Art Pottery/Clocks but didnt receive much info on it,but seeing the piece in my google search looks to be identical in production and i cant believe it i did get both pieces around the same time but i dont remember if it was the sale place. how unusual and yet satisfying that i may have solved the maker of both pieces in my collection i new nothing about!! Thank You Again and also to you Vertaio50 for taking the tim out to help me identify this vase.. No marks are on the clock that i can find but if you take a look at it and the one i saw with all the flowers and leaves on google they truly resemble the same maker..
      again thank you

Great! They are probably quite valuable, so I would definitely get then appraised by an expert. Look into museums nearby that have a ceramics expert that will lead you in the right direction. Good luck!

Edouard GILLES (1868 - 1895) ! That number in the losenge might be 302. Nice pick up maryh! Well picked Dino. That clock or "pendulette" sure fits in too!
      There's a search for you:
      Edouard Gilles pendulette.
Another term is "pendule à tableau".
      Here's one result:

I truly appreciate the help and insight you 2 have given me on this and i will try to find a way to verify them and also value them so i can include them in my home owners insurance.. thanks again Vetriao50 and especially Maryh1956 for all the help guess i can mak this as mystery solved :)
