    Here is the last dagger I found. Looks like the previous one, but a little less ornate. This on is more sturdy in construction. Please help if possible. Thanks!!!

      This is a Nazi Red Cross leader's (Officer) dagger, not common.

      hello thank you blunderbuss2, militarist and bluemax1914! I do have a question would it be a bad idea for me to clean some of this rust off??

      Don't do it yourself. Let a knowledgeable person decide. Most people call rust "oxidation" but it is also electrolysis. You might use baking soda & water to slow down the corrosion, dry well & then wipe with a thin oil. After that treatment you would probably be best advised to leave it alone.
