Paid 50 bucks for this vintage late 1940's or early 1950's ( I think ) Glasco Coca-Cola chest / cooler that needs to be restored. The compressor is missing as well as the bottle cap catcher and cash box - I can’t open the side door - don't want to force it. If some have any idea how to open it without forcing it or denting it let me know – I have done as much research and comparison online as I know how - and none of the others have the decal showing the actual coke in hand – does it make it more valuable - in any case I love it - it is a great piece… Also I have call around to get prices on restoration – the prices are outrageous – what is too much to dish out on restoration –
Any and all information / comments would be helpful
    Thanks… rea1on1

looks good as is. and if the prcies are high, save some money and don't restrore it. I think this is late 50's or early 60's. value is probably in the 150-200 range. What does petretti's say, Ray?

thanks guys....... One of the local dealers here got a little disappointed that I wouldn’t sell it to him for …guess what!!! 50 bucks…..he called it a gutted piece of junk…. LOL… thought about selling it...aaaahhhh! I like the aged look anyway... think I will keep it and set it inside my closed in back porch -It will go well with my other antiques - will use it for parties .... beer and such!!!
