Greetings: I've owned this biscuit jar for about 10 years and know little about it. It is 7" tall and 5" across with a silver lid. The base is smooth. Unsigned. At first sight the overlay paint appears to be cameo, but alas it is just very thickly applied paint. The scene depicts a girl/woman walking with a church, trees, and snow in the background. ??? Regards.

      Legras? Or similar French ...

Legras was my first guess ... that or similar style decorator. Sometimes an "Leg" can be found enameled on the side of the object if it is Legras.

thirding Legras. Legras isn't always marked. I'd have to go find my legras book to be absolutely sure, but I am 99% sure this is pictured in there.

Greetings all: Thanks for the inputs - seems like "Legras". Regards.
