I believe these are candle sticks but I do not know. My uncle brought them back to all his brother and sisters when he had went overseas when he was in the military. They are brass, and I know that my mother had taken them before 1998 and had them dipped in something so that they don't tarnish. She hated polishing them.
I just bought a pair at an estate sale today for ten dollars. Mine do not have the spill tray though. The lady did tell me they are candle stick holders. Hoping someone know about their worth. How tall are yours? Mine are three feet in height.
My husband says they are two feet tall.
These are maybe from Thailand we had a set of these in our living room when we lived in Thailand in 1962. Ammonia mix dip can be used to clean brass if you can stand the smell.
My mother has re candles maybe 2" wide? For these which would break easy, we never lighted them.
They are different to what you normally see in candle holders as I do believe that is exactly what they are.
