This is a Whitfriars amethyst vase made for the J.C. Wuidart & Co. Ltd. range, circa.1931-34. This is probably designed by Barnaby Powell, based on the ribbed wave style Whitefriars was already producing. This is 9.5 inches high.

So, Wuidart were Belgian importers? No wonder some of these pieces remind me of the colours of Dutch Leerdam, the shapes and optic effects too.

I think this must be violet as it is so much darker than the amethyst Whitefriars glass I have.

No, not Violet nor Wuidart, I'm afraid. Not a colour from the Wealdstone range, nor the design. Looks loosely based on the WF 916 (designed by Thomas Carney West and made under licence. https://whitefriarsglass.wixsite.com/catalogues/wuidart
Looks like a WF 9146 from around 1937.
