Not sure where this came from. We have had it on the farm for many years. Any ideas of what it might be worth. Thank you.

They clean up nice and make a good TV chair. This chair falls between the wars WW I & WW II maybe even up to 1950. The WW I chairs had caned seats in them. Sometime after WW I maybe around 35-39 it got hard to get cane because the war was starting up the seats became sold wood. I have a Civil War chair with wooden wheels and a pressed caned WW I wheelchair. If this was cleaned up and had a nice finish on it and a new seat (it looks like you would need Oak veneered plywood to do it right). You might get $2oo as it sits maybe $25 - $30 that's my area prices.

A combination of paint thinner and linseed oil cleans up old wood real good with giving it a refinished, restored look.

I don't know how well that would work on this it doesn't seem to have much of a finish left. I like restores-a-finish. In the color of the wood if most of the finish is left. I have used Mineral spirits and linseed oil I just don't like the smell.

It works fine, you dont need a finish. I have used it a few times.

this could be an old COLSON wheelchair out of Elyria, Ohio. They sold out a number of years ago to Invacare, still located in Elyria. Its worth a check.
Colson was one of only three companies to make wooden wheelchairs as I understand. Hope this helps
