I am assuming that that I have listed two 19th CHINESE PAINTING ON RICE PAPER OF PAST LEADERS in opposition.
Antique Chinese painting on rice paper in scroll depicting serveral individuals and horses. Circa 18th century (based solely on condition), it measures 49" height x 19 " width.
There are several symbols painted on the rear of each scroll that are unknown to me.

According to information obtained the scrolls were painted by Sadanobu Hasegawa (1809-1879). He was appupil of Shijo painter Ueda Kocho, a pupil of Sadamasu Vtagawa and the OSAKA SCHOOL. He had mastered the techniques to produce great landscapes, flowers & birds, actors and a series of Hirashige miniature copes.
I welcome any and all information pertaining to the items.

Korean folk painting. 19th c. at best, if not early 20th c. These are depictions of deities.
