This image shows several Sioux in full headress.
Crazy Thunder-- he survived into the 20th century.
Crow King-- Fought against Custer at Little Big Horn and died in 1884
Long Chaser-- I haven't found any information on him.
The image is photographed by Joseph Zamtabel (Haven't researched him either) and is marked to Fort Laramie, Wyoming. This particular CDV most likely dates from the 1880s time period.
The period ink names on the back of the image, really make it a step up from many period views.
A word of caution on acquiring Native American images. Examples are readily available online in many market places. MANY ARE MODERN REPRINTS. Exercise diligence before you spend the money-- I have seen entire collections (costing the owner THOUSANDS) that are nothing but modern copies! Study the field and buy from reputable dealers with return policies.
I am always willing to help and share an opinion.
