Imagine my surprise when a gentleman walked into my shop with 2 wristwatches in a bag for repair. He had no idea who made one of the watches. I opened the back and could not believe what I was looking at. It is a 9k rose gold Rolex c.1916. The movement is signed Rebberg with a serial #446. It was given presented to a soldier leaving for the First World War in Egypt during the time when Britain declared war on Turkey. It would be impossible to place a value on this piece of history. It appears all original with the exception of the minute hand. Enjoy and thanks for looking.
Stunning watch & history! Thank you for showing.
Jim, Did you have the opportunity to add the watch to your fine collection?
Pops52,
I would love to keep it in my collection but I believe that my customer will want it back after cleaning.
