Once again, a gentle Spring Muse has deposited on my doorstep a deeply gracious missive and a lovely vase (or, is it possibly a parfait glass?)! AmberRose, thank you, thank you, thank you!!! I am decidedly delighted by this most beautiful vase! I have vases, but this and my milk glass on pedestal vase are my very favorites. This vase makes me want to have a tea party. Cream scones, fresh butter, homemade strawberry jam, and Darjeeling tea - and of course, fresh flowers....
Fostoria? - the glass is very thin and delicate. American "Elegant Glass"? “Rings” like crystal. Clear glass except for wafer pedestal and base, which are both a translucent blush. Stands 6 inches tall.
All the meadows, wide unrolled,
Were green and silver, green and gold,
Where buttercups and daisies spun,
Their shining tissues in the sun.

The feeling of tea party is exactly what I felt when I found it. Knew then it was meant for you! I love that you put flowers in it, just perfect!
Hopefully one of the glass gang can help.
You are welcome sweetie, more coming as soon as I get to the post office (a formidable task)
Thank you so very much, dear AmberRose!!! Yet another treasure?!? Ah, you amaze me and spoil me dreadfully! (As soon as the cabinet is unstuck, you shall have your vintage aluminum icicles. I tried to open the door, but the iron handle snapped....Brother is needed. One day....) Do, please take care of yourself - Chicago Winters are rough! Shouldn't care to see you out in bad weather!!! And you have so many responsibilities, too!! God bless you, sweetie!!! : D
Thank you very much for your kind appreciation, nldionne, mustangtony, and LOUMANAL!! : )
I can't help it miKKo, gifts for you just find me at the thrifts. Seriously. This latest one...I literally walked in, turned my head and said "good there's Mikko's next present". I kid you not. It is quite a phenomenon. Thrift gods have spoken
You are too good, my friend! God bless you! : 0 FYI, the only way I could get into the cabinet is with a hatchet. Cabinet is taller than I am, solid oak, and designed so that it can be collapsed when empty if one wills. It is not empty, and it is suspended now between 'collapsing' and subsistence as an assembled case good. The hardware is very old, and I was shocked when the iron handle snapped. Anyway, then, I will one day have something worthy to send!!! Thank you again!!! : D

Well I like the rascal part best ; ))
Ah, Eye4, I am very sorry to hear that indeed!!! I do hope that all is well, and that perhaps one day soon that you'll have time to return again. We shall have too many msyteries now without you to solve more than your good share! And, as for your sense of fun and constant good humor and generosity, we could never replace that! Please take care of yourself, sir. Very best wishes, miKKo
So also have some of us from some of your posts! Definitely won't be the same without you, so I do hope that one day you will find time once again. Please do take care, sir!!! Best! : (

Thank you very much, Moonstonelover21!!! : )
Hello, Bellin! Good to see you, sir! Thank you very much for your kind appreciation and very kind comment!!! Oh, yes, AmberRose's generosity flows like a river!!! What shall we do with her dear kind heart? I do have something that her daughter would love - something that I was given in my youth, and which would match something she now has, but I don't yet have something for her son, so I haven't yet sent the present to her dear little daughter. I promise I shall. Also, I have some very cool vintage American aluminum icicles - no, not the long thin foil strips, but solid, rigid, and sizable matte silver aluminum icicles. They're in the cupboard that won't open. Still waiting on my brother for that. They are singing her name now. : ) If you can think of something that AmberRose's son might like, please let me know. Thank you!
I can't wait to see what you've got posted!!!, but I've got to sign off now - hands and arms bad, and I'm budgeting my keyboarding stringently. I look forward to viewing your latest loot soon! See ya! : D

Hello!!! How are you? I owe you an email!
Hello, AmberRose!!! So sorry -- the little time I spent on CW last Sunday whacked me. Always good to hear from you -- anytime!!! Have been remembering the little ones. : ) Do please take care of yourself. I will try and visit your page, but you will find that I will seldom be able to visit CW. The hands and arms. Hello,
Your tumblers were made by the Steuben Glass Company of Corning, New York, probably in the 1920s. The stemware shape is #3551. The color in the stem is called Rosa. The cutting is called Van Dyke.
Go to http://www.cardersteubenclub.org and click on Shape Gallery in the left hand column. Then select Van Dyke from the drop-down menu for Cuttings/Engravings, and you will see examples.
Best regards,
Michael
