      Good morning (here!) Phatbudda,
That is a very cool item you have. I think it is from the 20's,30's time frame. If you go to ebay and type in "Vintage Cast Iron Michellin Man", you will see several different types of these, including one that looked just like yours. They have one that is a bank, and they even have one riding a motorcycle. The prices are all over the place, but you usually find that when dealing with ebay. Good talking to you, hope you have a great day! (or night). Thrifty

The Michelin Company was incorporated on 28 May 1888, founded by brothers Édouard and André Michelin of Clermont-Ferrand, France.

Good morning AR8Jason, I think that the Antique Roadshow is probably a better site for information or pricing. Ebay has a tendency to "exagerate" pricing sometimes from the sellers. Some people go on there looking to compare their item to what is posted, and they come away with the wrong impression. It is always better to look at completed sells, rather than some of the "Buy now" prices you see. Good talking to you, hope you are doing well. I am truly glad to see that you are still on here, and have not left us. Thrifty

That sounds real interesting..... you will have to give me the name of it. I don't think I am familiar with it, TG

Sounds like a plan... keep in touch! TG
P.S. Phatbuddha, I did not mean to hijack your posting! TG

Just just time to read this Properly till now. That's was really Interesting, I've Noticed how eBay has Put a bee under the bonnet on the Antiques and collectors,if you are a sell but on the other hand if you like to buy Unusual items then it works both ways. I think over time it mite sort it self out.
I had a look at that other site You mentioned, Collectors quest, I didn't see that much, but what I did wasn't iPhone friendly.
This is the only site I know that helps you with the items you love and knows Very little about it, they will give you Information that makes you love it Even more.

P.S I'm glad you Took me hostage lol

Fifties50s is correct on this one. They show up at the antique mall occasionally along with about hundred plus other "made to look old" cast iron items.

Yes, it doesn't matter how much shoe polish the dealer brushes on the piece, it's still a fake.
