Without a doubt the most striking range timer ever made, the "Gothic Moderne" TM-8 was designed by Raymond E. Patten and manufactured by GE for Hotpoint in the early 1930s. Patented Mar. 10, 1931. Chrome with a black Bakelite base, Telechron movement. There are small dials indicating "On/Off" times in the lower corners.
These are so great! My roomate has two of these in perfect condition and is going to sell one.
Yes I do,and they both work and keep time. Keep checking Ebay after 1/1/2011 under Deco 1930's Hotpoint Range Timer.
In my opinion, one of the top ten deco clock designs ever. I have a case and face with no movement. Incredible clock!
I have a restored 1931 GE electric hotpoint range with all the fixins EXCEPT THIS TIMER! any help in buying/finding one would be greatly appreciated!
I've never come across one of these in a shop, sale, auction, etc. - only eBay. And they are few and far between. Expect to pay $250-$600 for a decent one in running condition.
Thanks! I keep checking ebay in hopes of finding one since I have not had any luck with stove restoration places in the past~Im sure I will pay plenty if I ever find one.....but it will be worth it to complete my stove.
I love this clock. Having only found 2 in the last several years, I bought both of them. The insides are jamed packed with electronics of the day, quite heavy and large ( 7 1/2 tall and 8 1/2 inches wide ) for a stove clock. Thanks!
