Hi there, I recently acquired two rather peculiar looking polar bear figures from a car boot sale. I believe them to be polar bears but they could also be something like a terrier dog too or possibly even a husky. They look 1930s kind of art deco in style but are not exactly very sophisticates in design. They are not marked on the base but appear to have letters in the ears which I thought to be pjh or pjk or a cs other than that I have no information about them except that they are rather amusing looking they look like they are either growling or laughing and they appear to be pottery with a white glaze and grey ears and feet and a hand painted face. When I first got them and began trying to identify them I came across royal Copenhagen but I messaged a website relating to Danish ceramics and they said that they weren’t Danish. I have tried every search term on the internet that I can think of in the hope of trying to find out what they are but cant seem to find anything on them so if you could tell me anything I would be extremely grateful as I have hit a wall
If you could post a picture or two of the marks and the base, it might well help those here on CW to identify these 'growlers'.
i've tried uploading some more images but my camera isn't the best :)
