Perhaps the the most famous and coveted sports card set of all-time...because of the famous Honus Wagner card. This is my Rube Manning T-206 card. He was a pitcher for the New York Highlanders, who later became the New York Yankees. When I bought it, it still smelled like sweet tobacco.

Sweet Card Viking....May I ask....How much is it worth now?
    2. VikingFan82 VikingFan82, 14 years ago
Not terribly valuable, around $60. I saw one with sharp corners go for $200. I dont think I paid over $20. That was the late '90s.

Hmmm, I know condition is everything, but seems to me it should be worth more then that......Thanks Bro

You'd think so lol. Sports cards and their prices sometimes don't have a lot of logic to them. It's still my most treasured card, and I have cards actually worth over $200. When I started collecting vintage baseball I made it a goal to get a T-206...it took me about a year and a half, so I had to come up with other goals lol

I have 3 T-206 cards, Tommy Leach (pittsburg), Jack Hannifan (Jersey City), And Claude Rossman (Detroit). I have a few other tobbaco cards, but they're not t-206.

next time I see one, I'm gonna buy it, regardless of cost. I have a 1935 Goudey 4-1 card, that smelled like sweet tobacco too when I bought it. I posted it earlier.

Card grading really changed the hobby.
