    i think its from the 60's cant find much on the internet about it my dad said they were around his time anyone know anything more about it??

      The Minnow is the little brother to the Barracuda by Taren Toys in Taren point NSW in late 60's to early 1970s the Barracuda started with soft orange rubber wheels like the black rubber wheels on the "Surfa Sam" boards
      The Minnow has the same trucks as Barracuda does , (also very similar design to "Surfa Sam" trucks) but closer together on the Minnow, the name Taren is spaced out with large circles in between each letter on natural colour urethane wheels. I have both boards in my collection of Aussie skateboards etc

      I think its from the 70s. the wheels look like polyurethane and I don't know about the trucks. I don't think it was from the 60s because 60s had clay wheels made from composite walnut shells.

      I just found a truck/wheel set (ie 1/2 a skateboard) of the minnow version -exactly like the photo- in my box of bits while looking to make my kid a board. Free to good home if anyone can use it to complete a board.
