I bought this locket a few months ago, thinking it was rolled gold. It actually tested as 9 carat gold when I got home.
Ita a victorian pocket watch-style locket. The guilloche pattern is enigne turned. It was made around 1870 I guess.
It still needs a 'ring' so I will be able to wear it on a chain.
Its about 2 cm in diameter. So its a decent size.
I already mentioned I LOVE lockets. It brings out my romantic soul. :-)
So I was very happy with this find. Its really well made, I like the details on it.
I hope you like it as much as I do.
OMG what a find and me too :))
Thanks Moonstonelover for the comment :-)

Beautiful old jewel, lucky find!
I like how the traditional foliage frame contrasts with the machine-age looking center.
Thanks bradjdd, Agram and davyd286 for the love and your comments.
Indeed davyd, its a bit of a contrast in the design
