Not sure if this is same as yours ks85 but looked close to me. I have only seen this spotty look on the piece I have. Hope it helps.

Notice how the pottery is white and the glaze contains the color. (See the white rim oround the bottom.) On the piece shown by ks85 the clay is dyed green and the color goes all the way through. It is not a glaze.
