Confetti decors are the sometimes referred to as End-of-day or spatter glass. The pattern may look random but the amount of each piece is carefully managed as seen when many confetti pieces (of the same decor) are seen together- the ratios of color are very close. This technique comes well before Czech deco glass- seen on earlier Bohemian designs. Confetti may be just part of the overall decor combination. The size and detail of confetti may range from glass house to glass house.
By box:
1. Cane confetti
2. Confetti (in different sizes)
3. Metallic confetti
4. Confetti in various surface textures
When I started grouping confetti pieces over ten years ago they all looked like they were all made by the same company, after many years and hundreds of examples clear differences are seen between Kralik, Welz, Ruckl, Beranek, Funk and others...
FABULOUS COLOURS!!!!! ...:-)
What a wonderful selection of glass - just beautiful, great shapes, great colours, very informative too!!:)
