Per Lütken was the artistic director for Holmegaard and his tasks included the design of art glass and tableware. When I first started to getting to know his work I was pretty impressed by his designs of jugs and decanters in the 1950s, most of them in the lovely shade of gray with a hint of green so typical from Holmegaard, and from these I have always loved the unique handles all of these jugs share.
In this pic you can see one Roskilde jug (from 1958), three Martini jugs (the complete set that I never though I could complete, from 1957), two Havfrue -Mermaid- jugs (also the complete set, from 1958), two Island -Iceland- jugs (two out of a set of four, from 1954) and two Baltika jugs (two out of a set of three, from 1956).
The pic can be a little bit of a puzzle, sort of "find the 10 jugs and win...", but I quite like it... a little bit of chaos can be really stimulating from time to time ;) In any case, it is doble the size of the pics i usually upload, so you can enjoy it better!
By the way, more info about Per Lütken can be found at http://glasscollectors.wordpress.com/2013/03/29/per-lutken-1916-1998/ (see working link in comments)
I hope you will enjoy it
these are superb great photo
Layers of Lütken's curves!
Thanks guys! I now see I should have displeyed them differently... the one on the left should be on the right and viceversa... the poor 2 litres Baltica is almost invisible! :) (plus both Baltica jugs would be together then... I guess I will take another picture and post it here soon!
But anyway, I love the effect of the 10 handles, which is the thing one sees the most!
Love the look of the photo!
Great photo!...:-)
Thanks Amber and Inky. Carlos says I can do something really artistic with this glass photos and that I should work seriousy in this "many glass layers" thing... mmmm, maybe I will ;)
Carlos' offer is too good to pass up!
It could be like window dressing!
Chic!

Well, I hope this link works here

I've admired this photo many, many times. Thanks to austrohungaro, I've been able to collect several of the same Holmegaard gray jugs. Your vast knowledge and stunning photographs are greatly appreciated.
