    I am wondering if someone can confirm this is pewter? I am thinking it is. It is a large heavy dish, shaped like a shell. I started to clean it. Cleans like silver, it does polish, but the tarnish is gray. The metal is a soft one, non-magnetic, and the acid test yields a yellowish non reactive result. Thanks!
