I found this pair of silver cornucopias while thrift shopping. I cannot identify the mark but it also has the words "made in occupied japan". I found them interesting as a pair and brought them home but I cannot find any info on the as of yet. As far as the condition, they are pretty discolored in different areas but there are no dents or dings. Any information is greatly appreciated.
Silver TONE, not silver. Silver means that its made out of the actual metal "silver."
Thank you for the useful info jwendell222. Also, these are silver tone, no markings indicating they are made of silver and the silver plating is rubbed off in some areas. Thank you for clearing that up, do you have any useful info that can help identify them?
I thought we'd already identified them? They're silver-plated cornucopia mantlepieces made in Japan in the 40's-50's. Finding the maker isn't going to increase their value or desirability substantially, or even marginally.. - Just to save you some trouble, if that's your goal here.
