Love you're military collection, my husband and I also collect military, mostly vietnam era...my passion is old patches which are becoming hard to find but when we do I usually snatch them up...by the way to you still have you're parents Hawaiian collection, if you do I'd love to see them. Much aloha to you
hulaladt56, I still have some of my parents Hawaiian items, most of it was given away or thrown out over the years. I remember them having prints of the Hawaiian flowers, a hula girl lamp that looked like it was made of cast metal bronze color and when you turn the light on the girl did the hula. All the furniture we brought back was made of bamboo. I still have the Hawaiian license plates that were on my folks car from 1950 to 1955. I see what i can find.
I'm familiar with that type of furniture known as rattan. It was something that was very common in most hawaiian homes my grandparents also had that type of furnishing.
Hulalady56, Did you see my posting of a one dollar bill stamped Hawaii. My dad gave it to me after he had received it as pay when he was stationed in Pearl Harbor, T.H. on Dec 7th 1941.
That's the name rattan
No I haven't seen the dollr bill yet...what catagory is it in...
