I don't know anything about this beautiful piece. It's a plate incased in some type of metal. It look oriental but, I just don't know. It's very heavy so I have it hanging on my wall with a chain.
    Please help me.
    Thank you

It looks Chinese and maybe its a hot plate or a fancy serving plate when guests are coming. Very Nice!

      Very nice Chinese plate.

Thank you for your comments. I don't think it can be used as a real plate since the back is fully incased.

So It is encased totally at the back? Could you manage a couple of of pictures more?
One of the back, one of some detail on the front edge and one of that handle?

Sure, I'll have them up before the night is over, or in the morning.....I'm in California. Thanks for checking this out.

I posted more pictures and found a plate, of course, today. Unfortunately it's not as expensive as I thought......very dissapointed. There are a few that are more but they are made with copper or brass, I forgot already and mine I believe is made of pewter. Thanks for your help in advance, and have a great day!
