I got this from the estate of some old collectors, didn't know it was an Ysart until I got on Google. What a score, these things are fairly valuable. Always wanted an Ysart!

How can you tell its a Ysart? Thanks

The early ones are identified by the "layout" and specific known canes that he used. In this link you can see the red-cased-green star canes are identical to mine, and the layout is nearly identical as well:

I did a lot of searching around after I got home from the estate sale, its definitely an old Ysart

The rough pontil is also a characteristic of the early ones
