I was able to find similar Bookends in the "Collector's Encyclopedia of Bookends" Ref. Book by Louis Kuritzky and Charles De Costa but this pair has a completely different base and is numbered 154 at the back. The authors stated that it was a very rare pair of Bookends and that they had only seen one example of the ones shown on page 184 of their Ref. Book.
Near the number 154 is what looks like an impressed mark that I can't make out. Would anyone have any info. on these beautiful Deco Bookends that probably date from the 1920's. They measure 5 1/2" tall by 4 1/2" wide by 2 5/8" thick. Thanks everyone? RER (LOUMANAL)
