These things were awful fakes from the start. First of all, they lacked detail, and paint jobs were twice as dreadful. These are offen sold as, "Vintage 1930's Coca-Cola truck" or, "1950's Coke Truck" With pricetags I've seen go over more than $50. Don't buy into it, it's a 1970's fake coke item, not old, and praticly worthless. It earned the #9 spot on the worst coca-cola fakes series.
Any suggestions for future spots? email me at 14ipodtouchguy@gmail.com
Also, if you think i'm not correct on any item, please let me know.
I see these alot down here in the south. Flea markets ect. At 25-30ea, I smile & just keep walking on by....... Thanks CCKid.....
These are cast iron. As far as I know, Coke never authorized a cast iron truck. They did, however authorize many steel, die cast and tin litho trucks. See Petrettis or other books on Coca-Cola trucks.
I got one as a gift. thought I got a real treasure, but after all it is the thought that counts. Right
Yeah, I got one too.
Very interesting! Thank you
