This was done by my father only sister Adele, she was the youngest of 5. My fathers family parents came on the boat to Ellis Island in the 1900's. My father was born in 1914, Brooklyn,NY. The came from Russia. My aunt was married to the president of the horse trainers(race track) association of America for many years until his death. Willy Shoemaker was one of his jockeys. And one of his horses was Count Fleet the Kentucky Derby Winner. Well as the story goes she traveled the World with Saul Rutchic? I am not sure how to spell his last name. He loved her artwork and let her paint. This painting is 3 x 2 feet.....and is hanging on my wall...I had it shipped from Florida, where she lived. In her inheritance I was awarded an Antique Diamond Lavaliere necklace with matching earrings...I will post later this week....its stunning and I believe it was from Saul's family side...its very old..1890's in white gold....its in the safe at the store...
mustangtony, thank you for your loving:))
vetraio50, thank you for your loving xoxoxoxo
Wonderful painting. The subject is very European. It reminds me of early Picasso!
antiquarius123, thank you...it does! I remember being in Florida and seeing her paintings..she did some really neat ones. This painting was part of her estate and the only one that did not have a home. So I asked for the painting...and shipped it. I am happy that I did..it sits next to my bed. Adele would be smiling down happy you said her painting is like an early Picasso!

We have these beautiful treasures to remember those who have journeyed on and wanted to keep their memory alive through a gift of special things.
pickrknows, yes she is with me always...as is my father. I miss them both :)) I feel like I am the lady at the bottom of the hill looking up....into brightness....
Keep looking up Lee, the brightness shining down on you is full of loving from them, just like the painting!
