I bought this old piano at a Salvation Army for $50. I don't know how to play it, I just thought it was cool. I can't decide if the carvings are supposed to be lions or oriental dragons. At some time, a dog enjoyed it as a chew toy and some of the keys won't come up, but it's still an awesome piano! Inside are the numbers 48146, made by Schurig & C., Bell Metal frame. Can anyone tell me anything about it?

That's it! This one is in a lot better shape than mine is. Now how do I find out the history on them: when they were built, how many were produced, is it a lion or dragon, ect.? Thank you!
