Picked up this cooler in Norther IL on a pic run. It's a cut off Westinghouse Jr. with a few modifications. The date stamp is TN-41-5. I think it may be one of the Jr.'s that was cut off and sent over sea's to the troops in WWII for moral boost. The sawed off legs were done very nicely, the cap catcher was removed and lid handle as well (for easy stacking during transport). A latch was put in place instead of handle and the drain was rerouted to the side where the cap catcher should be. The lid still has origional raised letters as well, though its seen better days. I'm gonna try my hardest to salvage that lid on restore. I would love opinions and other info about this cooler if you have any. FYI, it was painted over sometime and hs already been taken apart for restore, so keeping it "origional" ain't gonn happen. That went out the window when someone cut the legs off!

Not a Westinghouse. TN as in Chattanooga, Tennessee, where Cavalier Corp. manufactured coolers for Coca-Cola. There was a 12" x 14" x 25" "Half Junior" produced for table top dispense. I'm thinking this is more likely what you have, rather than a post production modification. Cool Piece.

The more I look at it, the more I think you're right about it being a cut off Jr. Ice, which has dimension LxW dimensions of 25 1/4" x 17 3/4". That appears to be closer to size of yours. I can send you a picture from the 1942 catalog if you e-mail me at daveq@cablespeed.com
