According to Jitka Lnenickova's Loetz/Series II book, this vase was made on January 2, 1905. The production number is II-2003, Phänomen genre 7624 in a Candia ground color. I bought this as a replacement for a vase that I have owned for quite a few years. That one was damaged, and I figured that I would keep it until a good one came along. This is a good one, and it even has the Loetz Austria signature. It measures 7 1/2" tall, by 5" wide.

Thank you Tony. Yes, they certainly are, which is why I had to get it when I had the chance.

According to the Hatje Cantz book, pieces were only signed with "Loetz Austria" from 1899 to 1903. 1905 seems too late of a date for such an early decoration and shape as this is one of the earliest Phänomen. Beautiful piece!

I am not disagreeing with you in any way, it is just the only production number I could find that matched the shape of this vase. So it could be that it is from Series I and not II.
