    Absolutely love the detail of this, but am clueless when, where or who designed it. Have had it for over 40 years. I believe my dad must have acquired it during his many travels.

      I think it is Satsuma.
      The mark in photo 2 is upside down.
      I've not been able to find the mark here:
      http://gotheborg.com/marks/index_jap_marks.htm

      Vetraio50, You are right. It looks like Satsuma-Fuzan, near Kyoto, Japan 1880-1910. Can you post a close-up of the mark, and flip the image.
      It is gorgeous!

      Finally got a better pic of the stamp on the bottom of the bowl. Any extra info would be awesome. Thanks to everyone who has already given insight.

      the question is not is this fuzan , no the question is is taisho fuzan

      benefit of thedoubt due to lustre , and wisteria , and beehive crackle , odds are up
