Hello janice112671. That is a unique piece! I happen to think it says "Nickel Silver", and that it is silver plated. Does it say "STERLING" anywhere on the spoon?

I will need to re-check it again.. So Nickel Silver is Silver Plated..
Its very old looking and dont know where it has come from..
I would love to know if it has any history..

Nickel silver would mean silver over nickel...yes. I am trying to find that symbol online, maybe in one of my books at home. I will looks later for you.

Nickel silver is actually an alloy of copper, nickel, and zinc. Also called alpaca and German silver. If its older and tarnished, it can look exactly like sterling, so watch out. I've got a REAALLLYY good eye, and it fools me all the time. It looks absolutely IDENTICAL to sterling if its tarnished. It turns blue and bubbles with acid.

Its actually kind of a neat design, and fairly old. It can have value even though its not sterling.

Stillwater, do you know where I can find any resources on this design and symbol?

You can try looking around online, but unless you can tell what the mark is (I can't) then you don't really have anything to look up.
