How can I tell if this is Blenko or not? Are there other makers of this design of water pitcher? I'm just curious, don't really care what it's worth, I only paid 50 cents for it a few years ago at a garage sale. Thanks!
Yes, it is!
Blenko water Pitcher.

Thanks Dave!! Can't beat it for 50 cents! lol
i got this same blenko water pitcher only in a ruby orange color. i paid a dollar for mine. thanks for sharing!
I bet thats beautiful!
it really is thanks again for sharing with us!
I have one of those passed along from my grandmother. The one I have is a sort of sea green color. I imagine these days there are reproductions of them out there, too.
I looked at the Blenko website and they still produce them, so I figure this piece isn't very old.
I would have come down to the foil label that used to be on it. Withou the label it can be early one or a newer one.
Heres some Blenko labels & Dates:

I wish it still had the label on it, but when I bought it at the garage sale it wasn't there.... heck, I hadn't even heard of Blenko when I purchased this. lol
This is thier signature water bottle, I don't think anyone else makes 'um like this. Some even come with ships and other designs:) Lots of people collect Blenko:)
Yeah, I've seen the one with the ship. It's not real Blenko.... just someone trying to pass their glass off as Blenko.
Over the years there have been at least 7 companies that made "copies" of Blenko Water Bottles. They were even made in plastic. Currently, the design is being reproduced in China (hammered finish) and Spain (extremely thin top with thick bottom.) This is definitely Blenko. Blenko is now making optic water bottles which can be seen and purchased at BLENKO.COM. A trip to the factory is very enlightening.
