About 10 years ago, I found this sewing machine sitting out in the rain with a "FREE" sign posted on it. Of course, I had to save the poor thing. Remarkably, it cleaned up real nice (not restored) and works perfectly. I've been trying to find more information about the "Caser" brand and haven't been able to find a single clue.
The brand appears to be CASER and it's MADE IN ITALY as marked on the sewing machine. There's also a metal tag on the inside door of the cabinet that marked I.M.M.A.C. LISSONE. The hardwood cabinet has a beautiful veneer that I originally thought was maple, but now I think it's walnut because of it's popularity in Italy.
Although I don't use the sewing machine, the cabinet makes for a stunning piece of furniture. I love this beautiful sewing machine and don't intend to sell. Please help by providing more information about this amazing treasure.
    Thank you!

I just bought one from a Face Book Market Place seller! There is so little written about these machines. I will post a picture of it when it's in my hands.

They also made tools/machines like lathes. Full brand name is Casati Ernesto y Figli and they were based in Pavia, Italy

      Hi, Lilith. :-)

Thank you so much for the additional information about Caser sewing machines.

That same archive yielded a couple more advertisements for Caser sewing machines from 1948 and 1954:

      https://archiviostorico.fondazionefiera.it/oggetti/41012-pubblicita-caser-casati-ernesto-figli

I usually don't like linking sale listings, because they have a way of disappearing, but this one for a Caser sewing machine in a treadle table described as being of 1950 vintage has such good pictures:

      https://keej.it/annuncio/collezionismo/udine-annunci-udine-provincia/macchina-da-cucire-caser-93558754.htm

This Caser sewing machine described as being of 1958 vintage is installed in the same style of parlor treadle cabinet as the machine in this post:

      https://www.subito.it/arredamento-casalinghi/macchina-da-cucire-caser-anno-1958-milano-176815224.htm

None of the sewing machine heads seen at these various links look precisely the same as the one in this post, but it seems like Caser might still have been making treadle-powered sewing machines well into the 1950s, almost into the 1960s.

      Thank you again. :-)
